Taking touches from J.R. R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion, Garth Nix's Abhorsen series, Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, John Milton's Paradise Lost, Andrew Hussie's Homestuck, Zoroastrianism, Catholicism, Judaism, and Greco-Romanian mythology, Asphodel is an RP that, while it has religious themes, is not meant to be religious. Or at least, not religious in the way you or I might be used to.
Players are given context, culture, and couture: the rest is up to them. Personal interest is required; knowledge of the world's mechanics rather important (don't worry, there's a Wiki for a reason); and while Tor is around at all times for information, questions, and bouncing off ideas, Tor believes it would be very sad if the players did not contribute their brilliant minds to the stories contained herein.
Asphodel has an open plot with several possible endings.
